Shrewsbury Town Park.

[Fogey]

Following on from my visit to the town centre, I took a tootle around the river and park.

For a Friday lunchtime, I was amazed at how busy it was.

People  love green spaces Fogey ... I think they can be a real life saver .... I  found  my garden was a place that I had really taken for granted up until the  first lockdown . I hadn't realised  until then   just how  important it was  to have a place  to  retreat to and work in  where nature was capable of soothing and  healing   both in a physical and mental way .... It became an oasis of therapy  that  I hadn't really  recognised   in the past even though I have always spent a great deal of time gardening over the past 40  years . So I can understand why people just love  the rewards of  being in parks and places like those that you have captured in your photos around Shrewsbury ....  a really lovely set  showcasing  a town  that looks like  it understands the importance  of  those green spaces to  the public  ...
