Another Bittern.

It took 2 hours of standing about in a reed bed in the freezing cold before I caught sight of this Bittern, I'd been told it was there but knowing how elusive they are I really didn't expect to even see it let alone get some shots. When it did eventually show itself I had about 10-12 seconds and that was it, back into the reeds it went.

It's the only one I've ever seen in this country so that makes even more special to me, I have seen them in Northern Cyprus but not close enough to photograph... I just viewed them through a telescope.

They must be very hard to spot as they are well so camouflaged.
