There were signs up asking us not to use flash while he was working which made this a bit challenging, but on the other hand, I did get some nice movement blur, but whether that is the shutter speed or my hands I'm not sure :)

Your camera,plus your photographic skills have done a wonderful job of capturing a very wide range of tones, from highlight on the Smith's back to the red hot iron and the glowing forge.......all without losing the more muted areas.......the movement blur gives life to what could be just another static shot.

I can't add anything that hasn't already been said, a really nice image that probably works better without flash, you get a real sense of the heat from the forge and the motion has been well captured (could look like a 'pose' if the flash had frozen the action). A great photograph all round :)
