Mexican Orange Blossom ...

Recommended Posts

The common name for Choisya Ternata Sundance  is Mexican Orange Blossom  ... I have three  very large  ones about 8 foot wide and 6 feet tall and they thrive in my garden because  rabbits  do not eat them !!  When I first started planting  my garden 25 years ago from scratch , Choisya were the second lot of shrubs that I bought ...the first  ones  were all eaten by the rabbits that found their way into  the garden as there were just a few hawthorn bushes on the boundary with farmland . Their heady perfume attracts  loads of  varieties of bees too.

I liked the calming nature of this image  and the bokeh  from my prime 35mm 1.4

Love the bokeh and greens in the background.
The Mexican Orange Blossoms obviously enjoy the conditions you have there, Polly, to grow into such large bushes. I’ve planted two of them over the years and watched two of them die, probably from thirst. ?

Thank you John ...   With a bit of luck the garden centres may be able to open if the  do it safely , that will hopefully  help them as it's the biggest sales time of the years about now and it's a shame  if so many plants  are just thrown out !
