Flypast

very very lovely bugs.

the other week I was driving up the m11 and a huge bird came flying towards me along the hard shoulder, it was not flying high, it had those things hanging from it legs, are they called 'jessie's', ... I wonder if it had escaped from somewhere or someone?

If it was wearing jesses then it was a captive bird, either escaped or maybe on a wide sweep from a display, they do sometimes go high and wide when being flown.

Motorway hard shoulders are a good hunting area since they are good wildlife corridors, you'll often see kestrels or sparrowhawks hunting over them.

What a great capture Bugsy, I was given close access to a variety of Raptors at a local show recently, I know howw difficult it is to get a shot like this.

I am SO pleased that other TIPF members are able to also see the funny side of things, you al know that I can't resist having a chuckle.........it's good to raise a smile or three ;-)

I think that their owl comments are a .....HOOT!

:yes  I quite agree, serious comment is often appropriate but humourous observations are generally welcome and are positively encouraged when the occasion is suitable.
