Wow these are sharp John ... incredible detail on both images especially in # 2 on those gossamer wings . You must have the patience of a saint cos I just so rarely see these creatures landing on any vegetation near enough to find them . It’s been good to see so many of your quality photos on the Forum  again John.

I  am always interested in what settings people use when I see images that I admire especially for their technical quality ... I'm usually not too bad with composition and the aesthetics of a pleasig picture  but struggle still with catching  stuff that moves  faster than a flower in the breeze   ....so any advice is always welcome on here ....:yes

The detail in the wings is terrific - I was up in Ulverston a few weeks ago and sat by the canal watching some dragonflies. Fascinating creatures.

I fully agree with Polly re your patience - you've got far more than me!

Korky... I have about 19,000 photos stored on my PC and external hard drives.... an awful lot are nature shots... I wonder how many hours it took to take them. No matter how many shots I have and how good they are I keep trying to do better... I love the challenge.
