How far do you walk.

I think I'm at the other end of the scale, last week in four sessions of walking according to my GPS I walked 23 miles. That's plus all the normal walking I do each day. Last evening I walked 6 miles and this morning 4.75 miles.

I reckon I do well at nearly 67 years old with a not so good leg, that was extremely badly broken (bones were outside of my leg) in a motorcycle accident when I was nearly 20... I was in and out of hostpital for surgery for 10 years after.

I aim for a very fast walk of around 4 and a half miles twice a week, trouble is it is usually Saturday and Sunday. During the summer months  I try at least three times a week to cycle to work and back, a round trip of ten miles per day. Would like to do more, but work prevents me from doing so.

The wife and I, once we set out walking, end up doing about eight to ten miles sometimes, but that's not very often sadly.

i love walking. i can walk for miles...but slowly, i can't do fast, my legs are too short.

Me too annie!  Trouble is since my accident I have one leg an inch shorter than the other so I make an elevator to go inside my boot.... been doing that for 46 years...  My little joke is... standing in my bare feet I have an average height...

to tell the truth, at 5' 2'' (well i used to be but i fear i could have shrunk a tad over the years, in fact i know i have,) i am the tallest in the family. i come from a tribe of pygmy people i feel.

i seemed to have passed the dodgy gene on to my daughter though, she only managed to get to 4' 10''........the same as mum and dad and my sisters.

why are leggins made only to fit a two legged giraffe?

You're doing well, John, good on you!

I don't walk regularly, but it would be 1klm just to go round our boundaries, which we often do, and that's not over flat ground. Also because of my job, I do at least 10,000 steps per day, not including my strength training, exercise to music, and Tai Chi sessions. Keep it up as long as you can - the principle of 'move it, or lose it'! :D

I'm doing my best now I'm no longer sitting driving over 1,000 miles each week... walked another 6 miles in my local wood yesterday.
