1940's Style

To be honest, I don't often venture into People and Portrait, there are others far better than me, but every now and again I do like to dip my toes in...

From the ELR 1940's weekend last year, three lady singers called the Hotsie Totsies. A little run through Topaz (and some added focal blur) and a slight crop...(due to people in the background).... I almost thought about a Mono conversion but felt colour was the way to go... I just liked the 'big eyes'......

That’s  really nice ... everything about it just shouts “Forties “ .

As you say .... not your usual subject .... but it works really well the way you have presented it Rye... you should dabble more often ...

It's one of the reasons I liked this image so much. I've photographed them a few times at the ELR 1940's Weekend, which is a pretty good weekend out, steam trains to ride on, battles, re-enactors, and lots of people just dressed in 1940's apparel....

It'd be good to see a version in mono, just to compare.
