Reliable communication

Reliable communication is a favorite of mine from a couple years ago. so i hope i haven't posted it before. I'd been call out on a breakdown for work, so i'm riding around north Norfolk looking for a farm. At 2am ish there's no one about and i'm riding around in circles. and on this deserted road is this phone box all lit up like a beacon of hope. well  maybe in the days before mobiles

That's  a cool image  Vanguard... it impresses me because it's an eyecatching image and ...quite scary ... but also because at 2am on a call out you had your camera with you and took time out to capture this!  KUDOS  well earned Sir.

i never leave for work without my camera as i never know where I'll end up.  I just had to stop and take the shot. I could just imagine a stranded motorist back in the 70's or 80's being very grateful to find this phone box. plus like you posted quite scary as well. the local nutter just waiting in ambush for that stranded motorist.

what  still makes me smile about this night was i must of drove around this village and the area for a good hour. before the call center decided the let me know they'd given me the wrong post code so i was about 5 mile away from the farm. and the job turns out to be a blown fuse lol 3 hour call out for 2 minutes work and a image that i'm proud off.

Very effective minimalist image.

Beautifully simple - I love what you've done here.

A small niggle for me is the traffic sign on the left - I feel the whole image would improve if it were burned in to a solid black.

Tis a good shot. I like the hint of detail in those vertical lines either side of the phone booth.
