Busy days..

On Tuesday evening we had a very severe storm front went through, the winds and hail were horrendous. We were very lucky and got off light, but it has kept us very busy yesterday and today. We had large branches down, a tree down in our road and our shade house roof flapped about so hard that it has become detached all along one side. We haven't quite finished securing it again as yet, but hope to have it done tomorrow early before it gets too hot. This is a view from our lounge window, and what we saw when we checked out the shade house:

Fortunately we didn't get the golf ball sized hail stones that some areas got, but big enough to wreck one of our fly screens. Sorry for the inactivity - now you know why!

Battered!  But recovering eh Dee?

Witnessing a storm first hand can be both exciting and worrying ...... no doubt will have things ship-shape again very soon.....I guess that you are both a little bit pleased that your water tanks have been filled in good time for the hot times due anytime now ?

You both take care now.

Thanks for the good thoughts Kev, Fuji, Korky and Polly. We have worked pretty hard again today and we have done it! The roof is re--attached and safe again, just a couple of spots to link up the shade cloth and it will be OK. We wanted to 'save' the shade house because we are heading towards a couple of 40C deg. days next week. Still a few branches to cut and remove, but nothing in a threatening position or place. This is what it looks like again, thanks to David's many trips up and down the ladder!:
