The inspiration for this came after spending the last few day studying the work of Amber Armitage, the late, great abstract photographer from Goole.

I was caught by the sheer force of the diagonal dynamics and I decided to process the image in monochrome to highlight the interplay between the wood itself and the life force of the of the people who have walked upon it.

I've got my eye on you - Common Lizard - Lacerta vivipara - I know another Common Lizard, but when you do get chance to see them (I think this must be a fav basking spot as I've seen them 3 times on very similar warm sunny dats) who wouldn't give the chance to get really up close..

Proper lil King of the Mountain there Beepy...

This was taken  as I left son's new home ...after three days of helping him move... so knackered I didn't check exposure, mode etc ...in fact  surprised that I even managed to take the lens cap off ..so apologies for the quality...The view is from his kitchen window ...but not his grass to mow !
