Another couple from today, one of each, a colour and a monochrome, same position just a sligjtly wider view. I'm beginning to understand why BP posts many pictures of Marsden Rock and Jackies Beach, each day is never the same...

It's the colour version  this time for me Rye..I lose some of the vastness of perspective in the mono which is slightly odd given that the mono has a wider view.   It is  great view with the wind  turbines on the horizon( love 'em or hate 'em ) I  can't quite decide  how big the rocks in the foreground are without a comparative object ... then I looked at the mono and thought ... "Eh ...is that your shadow  just left of centre  at the front???"  Nah ...It isn't is it?

Wow!

one of the best landscape pics on here for some time, it really reveals the lie of the land, the vastness, with the bonus of the wind farm in the distance, never mind the perfects sky and the beautifully lit cragginess in the foreground.

Top marks from me.

I like both of those, but for once I think I lean towards the colour version. I think the contrast between the warmer coloured foreground and the slate grey sky is fantastic made better by the sunlight hitting the windmills.

Visiting the same place week in week out not only forces you to look harder for shots you begin to see the changes and recognise how the landscape changes depending on the time of day, the weather, the light or just your mood. I will never tire of my bit of coastline and I hope I never tire of photographing it.

@Clicker, no not my shadow - I hadn't even noticed it untill you mentioned - wrong direction (sun was to the right) and too far away - I was stood 100ft away from the rocks - which are quite big 50ft or more. So just a lucky co-incidence of the right shadows at the right time.

Thanks Kev and FUJI - it can be a bit hit and miss weather wise.

Cheers BP, I must admit to prefering the colour myself, it's what drew my eye in the first place - luckily there was quite a bright sky off to the right.

Cheers Korky and Chris
