POTW - w/e 1/1/17

I know this is a bit early, but I'm about to switch off the computer for the evening! 

There have been several good landscapes this week, taking advantage of the frosty weather and low winter sun. None has done it better than this one, by Phil. It's got everything - leading lines, great back lighting, and lovely warm colours. Well done Phil!

Yes, it's good. In fact it's very good. I'd even go farther and say it's excellent and it's a well deserved POTW.

But it's not a petrol station, is it? It doesn't have that emotional connection a man gets from a set of fuel pumps and a twenty-four hour convenience store.

That's a good start to 2017 Phil... A super pic to start off the new  year ...and ..the fact that the one a day challenge forum is being considered when POTW  is being chosen  is an added bonus .. Thanks Kate ...

It's a good idea in my opinion ... I think this is the first time anyone has won with a pic from the one a day challenge .. Makes sense to me to include those images when deciding POTW...It might help to encourage more folk to join the challenge...

It will be nice to include the  one a day pics to choose the POTW from in future too ... especially as they don't get on to the  banner gallery either ...I think sometimnes it  has felt as if those involved in the challenge are the only ones that  see them .. sob. sob.. .  though I know Dee and Korks often  check them out .Anyway  it's great  that Kate saw this  and picked it ... a really well executed image that could have languished  in the OADED cellars   almost unseen  by the majority of members ...
