Better late than never.....sorry boss.

Loads of excellent new content this week with a diverse range of content and styles but I'm going with a slightly unusual choice.

This weeks winning image was taken on a Fuji, which is nothing unusual though the fact it has been converted to capture the infra-red part of the light spectrum is. Now I know its not to everyone's taste and I understand its not something everyone would be able do but as an image I really like it and as a inspiration for your own images its right up there with the best. Its a case in point for thinking differently and more importantly seeing things with a specific end result in mind. A good way to hone your photographic skill is to have in mind the exact end result you want when you look for and capture an image. If you know it will end up square you will (hopefully) frame the subject accordingly, if you know you want a mono image you should look for a subject that will work in mono as not all subjects do etc, etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with simply wandering about looking for a general shot - hell I do this all the time - but trying to find a specific shot could and should give you a stronger image, this I feel is what Bill does.

Yup  ... Composition is really well thought out ... Well done again  Mr Allsopp ...    Just noticed .... your signature  is missing when I went back to check  the spelling of your surname .

Just out of interest Bill.... Did you take any shots with any other cameras of the scene ?

Your new website  looks really good ...
