Great focus there, I always believe if you can see the facets in the eye of an insect then you have nailed it as a Macro Photographer........

A question to ponder.......If we humans had eyes like that......what would our specs look like?

I think my  missus must have compound eyes, she misses nothing!!!  ;)

Venus lens again? if so he must have been fascinated with his appearance in the glass 

Yes - the Venus. It's a terrific lens as long as you can get to your subject...

Thanks all, and Edward too.

The "pixel" is something on the eye I reckon - having said that - if I had seen it I would have cloned it out.

 

The border is a special one off. I created it last year and have allowed one other person to use it (he's called Ron, and is in America). I have it set up as a macro (sic) command to do it with one press of a button.
