A wonderful character, though I still prefer the colour version - nothing wrong with the mono version, just a personal preference in this case.

Thanks Rye..........it's a funny old world............put up a Colour portrait, I get requests for the mono version and vice- versa ;-))

I like both, each for different reasons, the colou shot, is, as I and most other people saw him, a very distinctive, stand-out character with pride in his appearance and bearing, the partial colouring of his whiskers makes them very different to the norm.

My mono version, is a study in tones and texture, the elements that create character after the elimination of colour, all helped by the fact that I was able to request he move slightly to get that green foliage background.

One of my best Street Subjects yet......I really hope that he emails for his copies.
