Unusual bedfellows

Not an obvious choice to put these two plants in a garden bed together..Marestails and Cosmos... but they work beautifully together for me...

Alas, I wouldn't know I only have wild flowers growing in my yard, though I have sprayed the Rose Bay Willow Herb with weed killer, as they do tend to take over and can damage buildings...

Thanks guys ...   As I said..... Unusual combination of plants  I think it's also the linear aspect of the stems that appeals to me  in this particular image Kev .. .  Appreciate your comments ... Sometimes Its hard to decipher why one likes  an image  and this is one of those for me ... An intangible thing and I am not sure why this fits that category for me ... odd innit ... Lol

Not a criticism but I think it looks even better with a touch cropped off at the top.  Just above the flowers on the left of frame.

 You may be right Kev ...  I kept that area  because it was an out of focus contrast to the flowers ...  But I can see where you are coming from .. I'll give it a try when I get off the iPad later .. ( watching Murray at the moment )

All  opinions are valid ... It makes one think again ...     hmmm  ... Never sure with those races  ... Seem to be too many  questions about who is  clean.... which is so such a shame for those who don't cheat...

Appreciate you and Strav commenting on my Cosmos Korks ( Now there's a nice bit of alliteration  for a Saturday night !)

I have to admit  I have only just gotten around to processing it ... it was taken last September at Aberglasney House and Gardens, Carmarthenshire. which are fabulous if you are ever in the area . I have to confess to having  10  SD cards  requiring  editing ..over  400GBs of  images  arghhh .... I just  manage to get one card empty and  I manage to fill it up again within a week  ...and more quickly if I go anywhere  specially for a shoot ..

 By th waty.... those Cosmos flowers smell  just like chocolate !!
