    Loco 80097

For a loco that was sold for scrap, it's looking really smart! Paul.
  2. Thanks for the selection Gareth Cheers too Polly & Geoff. Paul.
  3. Cheers Geoff. It was a nice day out and something I used to do more if in the past. Back to macro next though, lol... Paul.
  4. Thanks Polly, it was very hard to even find it! Paul.
  5. A day out at the nearest nature reserve, Brockholes (Lancashire Wetlands Trust). Some of these pics came out OK, but some due to distances and camera shake fared a little less well... Tufted duck Heron Sedge Warbler Large crop: Blackcap Great tits Reed bunting Male roe deer (camera shake included!) Female roe deer(s) Nuthatch Paul.
  6. Well done this week Cheryl - a great image. Paul
  7. We plan to go there today Geoff - Rachel has suddenly started to enjoy looking and listening for birds! (Won't last though!!!) Paul.
  8. Cheers Geoff - there is something about their eyes though... Paul.
  9. The harrier is a special bird and a sighting is wonderful, especially as it's the first time at Leighton Moss in a long time for us. Tonight, it makes me wonder if I had already got that Sigma to use, how decent an image I may have gotten, but to be honest, just seeing the majestic swoop to landing in the reedbed was special enough. Paul.
  10. Gillian, Rachel and I went to Leighton Moss RSPB, and got a few hours enjoyment, and some common birds... I think a chaffinch which turned it's back on us, the obligatory robin, a coal tit which buggered off I pressed the shutter button, the blue tit which is always the cutey, and also the remarkable, though due to distance and cheap optics virtually unrecognizable but definitely, the male marsh harrier (only 400 breeding pairs in the UK at the last count). You can't tell really, but I saw it clearly, it's just the cheap 55-250 lens that cannot do enough to show it, but I'm very pleased to have seen it! Paul.
  11. Congrats Polly - great interpretation. Paul.
  12. Thanks Polly. Some pics were spoiled a bit by the wire fencing, but for the most part, came out OK. Paul.
  13. Stroll down the canal tow path with the family and in all seriousness, there was actually LOTS of kidding around!
  14. What a bonny bird, nice one Polly Paul.
  15. Great choice. Well done Strav. Paul.
