  1. One from my back files taken in 2019 that I hadn't processed. This is usually a very busy street in Corralejo, Fuerteventura... obviously not that busy early in the mornings.
  2. Thank you so much for choosing my photo for the POTW. And Polly the Wing Walker was actually waving to both myself and a friend who was standing to my righthand side. I know this for certain as we were the only people there! The shot was taken outside of the air show at a point where the aircraft turn to go back to run the crowd line. Thanks again, glad you like it.
  3. Thank you Polly, they were great fun to see, at the end of the display they 'unhooked' themselves and climbed down back into the aircraft which was a little scary to watch
  4. The AeroSuperBatics team doing their thing ... I'd be screaming my head off!
  5. A nice set, always good to see a different angle on things
  6. I'll post a few more Polly, just don't wish to bore those who don't like aircraft
  7. Nice shots, hated the rather 'woke' BBC presentation, wondered what other countries thought
  8. not my thing, but 'by-heck' Paul you do it really well
  9. Over East Kirkby Air Museum Lincolnshire.
  10. All good, nice to see some prop blur on the chopper too
  11. A nice set although I don't understand the need for the dark vignette? It doesn't really bring anything to the picture and for me spoils the overall look about them (sorry). On the up side the bokeh is
  12. Lee I like the shot although I'm not over keen on the fake sky as the 'sharpness' distracts from the man in the picture. I think if you blur the sky and crop down to the mans' head giving a panoramic feel to the BW shot it would work better. All in all a good attempt.

    Layer Masking

I used to find them a right faff, so much improved now that I'm starting to look back through my raw files to see what I can do with them.

    Layer Masking

Hi Matt - I struggle a little editing with LR. I find PS so much easier and you can now select sky or subject as well as various adjustments, even processing RAW is so much better now I seldom bother with LR. And thank you for your kind comment.

Me too, thank you for your kind comment.

    Layer Masking

As we (well some of us) await the new airshow season I thought I would revisit a couple of images from 2019. Using Adobes new(ish) layer masks to help bring out the original sky in each of these shots and balance with the subject. Have to say I'm quite pleased with the end results. if you shoot in raw and use PS give them a go they are very easy to use and very adjustable.
  17. I would try using selective colour to remove to 'yellow/orange' which I'm assuming is from the street lighting, that way it might balance better
  18. Only just seen this, thank you very much All
  19. Really nice works very well
  20. Hi Polly - 7 metres in diameter, features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit. Its hung in the naive using some cables which are quite thin so I don't think it weighs too much, you can just see them in picture 3 .
