  1. It's as though Adobe actually want to return to the days when most PS users had a pirated version. How the hell can they sell you a piece of software and then decide it's not licensed and tell you it's illegal to use it? Shame on Adobe for attempting to cr*p on customers from such a great height. Korky
  2. I absolutely love this technique for producing abstract images - great stuff, I really like all four of them. Must have another go myself. Korky
  3. Woooooooo!!!!!! Brilliant! Well done, Dee. Korky
  4. Hello, Charlotte - welcome to TIPF! Photographs and comments and banter are the lifeblood of the forum, so dive in and enjoy! If bird photography is your main interest, you'll find lots to inspire. Korky
  5. A bit late with this one, sorry. This week's theme is ISOLATED - interpret however you wish. Either shoot specially for the comp or find a suitable pic in your archives. Entries to be posted by midnight GMT on Friday 17th May - there'll then be a vote to determine a winner. Get creative and enjoy the challenge! Korky
  6. Another challenge on its way.......... Clicks - I've posted in your thread in the Staff Room. Korky
  7. Is this finished now? Lemme know and I'll set up a new theme as soon as I've thunk one up. Korky
  8. Good stuff, PB - well done! Korky

    POTW - w/e 21/04/19

Another great week for images and another week when it's been so flippin' difficult to choose a POTW. Top toggers for me this week were........ Fuji with his superb 'You Are Invited' - Street photography at its best. ChorleyJeff with 'Buttermere Trees' - A beautifully simple landscape. Ryewolf with 'Church Steeple' - A lovely painterly image that shows off Rye's Topaz skills. All these could have been winners were it not for Johntwo's superb photograph 'Scotsman at Speed'. Great technique, great processing, great presentation and then a great dollop of nostalgia to boot. Congrats, John, that really is a belter. Korky

    Lion Hunt

I've crossed that bridge dozens of times, but never knew about the lions. Very interesting. The National Trust property Plas Newydd is a great place to visit on Anglesey - there's a mural there by the artist Rex Whistler that really is stunning. Great if you're lucky enough to be there when there's a talk being given about the artist, the mural and all the little hidden meanings in the painting, Korky
  14. Great work - Well done, Cheryl, that really is an excellent image. Korky
  15. Brilliant entries this week - but so tough to make a choice! Korky
  16. Very funny - it's nice to have something to laugh at concerning the B word! Korky
  17. Well done, Simon, that must be a very happy tomato! Korky
  18. A great choice - Well done! Korky
  19. Hello Everyone As you're aware, TIPF has seen some changes over the last few months and although we got off to a great beginning once Phil agreed to hand over the forum, we're now back in the same old rut that has plagued TIPF for donkey's yonks. So... We're about to ask you to get a little more involved by not only posting your images for comment, but by making sure you also take the time to respond to other members by leaving comments on their images. Also, it'd be good if you could enter the weekly challenge each week and then vote for an image you wish to be given the accolade of Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner. This week we have four entries and thats pretty dire by any standard. If you wish to enter the Weekly Comp, always remember it's quite OK to pick an image from your archives - after all it's meant to be fun rather than seriously competitive. Now we know all this doesn't apply to every TIPF member, but if it applies to you, there's no need to lash yourself with stinging nettles and walk barefoot to John o' Groats, just do this............ Whenever you drop into the forum, just leave two or three comments and maybe make someone's day. But bear in mind that it isn't necessary to praise every image, it's quite acceptable to leave criticism - just do it politely and all will be well. We've never been a forum to have rules and regulations (apart from the unwritten ones regarding politics and religion), so please don't see this as an order from above. It isn't, it's merely a request to give TIPF a little more of your time in an effort to make it better, If you have any comment, please post in this thread - maybe you'd like to make a suggestion and if you do it'll be considered and discussed. Cheers! Ryewolf, Clicker, Black Pearl and Korky
