If you plan and doing this often then it's often recommended that one of the Dyesub printers is a better choice than an inkjet. Don't know what they cost though, to buy or run but assume the long term running costs must be lower than inkjet for it to be recommended so often.

Hi all Anyone got any recomendations for a printing Package Software that supports ICC Profiles Photoshop used to but no longer has the built in module QImage does but is too complicated for a simpleton like me Epson easy print and windows print module does the package printing I need but does not support ICC profiles Don't need anything complicated just want to print multiple pictures on one page but with ICC profile control. once you have something on the screen and you can do nothing you have already allowed your machine to be infected, these lock Trojans are getting quite popular these days. Turn your machine off and on another machine google the name that comes up with the screen lock warning, then follow the instructions given to remove it from your machine. Warning make sure yours is disconnected from the internet when you turn it on and if its a windows based machine find out how to boot it into safe mode, anti virus/mailware/trojan software often works better if the machine is in safe mode. Dont ever contact the company that infected your machine, EVER.

One good reason to keep your Anti virus/Mailware/ etc software updated and running, although most of these things get through because some users unwittingly invite them in when they click on links either on unsafe websites or links in unsafe e.mails. Never ever ever accept any offer of a free upgrade, unless you went looking for it and know were you are getting it from. No one ever send out e.mails offering updates they are always done from within a program. if in doubt google the site first if its dodgy you will quickly find out.

But then again if shooting speed is a big issue how long before everyone is going down the 4k video route 25/30 FPS for as long as your card lasts and then just print the frame you want, Its been done already so how long before actual still photography as we know it is a thing of the past. Actually as the Camera has to apply processing to the JPEG it can be quicker shooting RAW only as nothing is done to the image with JPEG not only does it have to apply all the cameras settings but also apply the JPEG resizing algorithms, all that can slow the process. As for space saving with memory cards being as cheap as chips these days what's the point, my 64gb card can hold 3000 RAW files and they cost less than £20 each so space saving is not an issue. For me with my cameras I find shooting RAW quicker than Shooting RAW plus JPEG which if you actually read what I wrote, was what I said, not that JPEG on its own was slower than RAW but RAW Plus JPEG was slower than RAW on its own.

I have three old Jessops bags, They are all they same range just different sizes. One holds everything, one holds one camera and a couple of lens's and there is one in the middle if I know what I will be shooting. As such most of the time I take the big one but only use one camera and a couple of lenses and my back always regrets it. Paul

Hi For a long time I also used to shoot RAW + JPEG and printed from the JPEG as it was a quicker process, only reverting to the RAW file if I needed to do more processing. Nowadays most software can handle RAW files just as quickly, if not quicker Photoshop, Lightroom etc so now I only shoot in RAW. Its also better if you are shooting action as the camera is slowed down by processing JPEG files along with RAW, RAW on their own results in much quicker operation, well it does on my Lumix Cameras, might be different with others, depending on their processors power. Hi As long as the trigger voltage is not an issue there are a huge number of the old none dedicated Flashguns with Auto exposure options that used to work well in the film days so should work equally as well in the digital age. My old Metz 45 gave faultless results, as long as you recognise the times when it would need a little help, but that the same with TTL systems as well. Look to the second hand market for an older well regarded auto flash, from the likes of Metz, Sunpak, Vivitar, National etc. Just be careful and check the trigger voltage is not too high for the delicate digital cameras of today Paul

Probably didn't turn the use external flash option on in the menu, you have to do this when using anything other than the Fuji Dedicated flash Guns. Paul

Hi I have the same set linked in the OP's post and find they work faultlessly 100% of the time and they have a good long range to them as well, for the small outlay they cannot be faulted. Paul

Putting Diesel v Petrol Consumption in perspective, i used to own a 2ltr Mk4 Mondeo Diesel and used to get between 40 & 45 MPG, It was bought second hand and I put about 100k miles on it I now drive a 1.4 ltr Fiesta Petrol and struggle to get above 35 MPG out of it. Mind you in the three years I owned the Mondeo it had the following repairs done to it. @120k Clutch & DMF £300 @123k Engine replaced after cam chain tensioner broke and totaled the top end £1200 @123k Alternator failed £120 @130k Gearbox failed because Mr Clutch didn't replace spilled oil when they did the Clutch DMF £450 @135k Both Front Wheel bearings replaced £220 @150k Both Front Suspensions springs replaces because of our pot holed kent roads £160 @180 Car was finally scrapped after the turbo failed and i had had enough by then Which is why I am now in the fiesta Paul

Another thing to check, is everything bog standard under the bonnet, has the previous owner done any engine mods, has it got the standard exhaust and intake pipes, is the CAT still there (If it had one) some owners read forums for tuning tips and do some quite inappropriate mods that often do everything but improve performance. Things to check are Air filter (Might be dirty or wet), MAF Sensor, EGR Valve (If Fitted), Diesel Pre heater (If it has one), Turbo (If its is a Variable Vane (type), Fuel Filter (might be dirty or have water in it) The first two are easy jobs. One point to note, is the CAT if it had one when it left the factory and the previous owner removed it, it is now an MOT failure ? Just a few thing to be going on with. Paul

Has it put the engine management light on, if not there might not be any codes for the code reader to show. Unless there are any pending codes, that is Might be worth taking to a diesel specialist as playing the chancing the error codes can be quite fruitless and expensive. Paul

Re the Spyder v Munki question, I have finally found a side by side review, after hours of searching http://www.lewiskemper.com/sites/default/files/uploads/pdf/SpyderCMunkiCompare.pdf It compares the Spyder3 to the Munki Interesting that the only on I could find actually comes down on the side of the Spyder system and as the Spyder4 now includes the same automatic read method of the Munki I suspect it would test even higher, if he did the test again Tin Hat on Paul

Anyone got any links to any valid side by side comparisons to the Spyder Monitor and Printer systems and the Munki Versions Personally I have only used Spyder for my Monitor and Spyder and profile prism for my printer, but still wonder if becoming a Munkiboy will make things any better. If there are no reviews between these two what the opinions from those that have actually used both systems. Paul
