  1. No, swam out with my X-T1. It’s weatherproof, right? :D
  2. I've been wanting to see the Maunsell forts at Red Sands for a long time, and I finally got out there last weekend. Couldn't have timed it better with the weather or the light! It's a fascinating place. Very eerie, I'd love to go up into one and have a look around. They're strictly off limits though, apart from the fact they're MoD property they're pretty unsafe now apparently.
  3. Fantastic shots! Definitely need to get myself up to a base for the day soon
  4. Bump… price drop to £260, or £250 collected. I’m probably going to trade this in on Friday if I haven’t had a better offer by then.
  5. I bought this in October last year, it’s been used a few times but I bought the 16-80 and since then this has just been in my bag. It’s in mint condition, complete with the caps and hood, and I’ve got a circular polariser, 6-stop and 10-stop ND filter which I’ll include, as well as a 58-67mm step-up ring, I can send this out well packed and insured, or you’re more than welcome to collect from me if you’d prefer - I’m in Ashingdon, Essex. Looking for £300 for it, or £290 if you collect. *** NOW SOLD *** Photos:
  6. Definitely sounds like I need to get myself up there then, thank you!
  7. Cracking shots! I know you said these were pre-covid; do you know if it’s still worth visiting Mildenhall? Lots of fond memories for me of airshows when I was a kid, but I’ve read different things about how much activity I’d be likely to see if I went now…
  8. Seems hard to believe that there isn't, doesn't it? All that empty space, all those planets, surely we can't be the only life...
  9. I went out last week to get some Perseids shots... didn't work out, but I'm very happy with how this shot turned out nonetheless. It's with my X-T30 and the Viltrox 13mm F/1.4, which is a stunning lens:
  10. Fantastic as ever, Paul! Wasps are great-looking, aren't they? It's a shame they're such bellends!
  11. Lovely shots! I’m quite jealous about the Me262
  12. That was the one plane I was disappointed to miss by not going to RIAT this year (although it didn't fly on the Saturday because of the weather). Great shots!
  13. I was working in Wales a couple of weeks ago, and popped out with my camera one evening. The beach was more spectacularly bleak than picturesque - I sent my wife a photo and she asked me if I was in the antarctic! It worked quite well for some longer exposures, though:
  14. Found a couple of interesting spots while walking the dog, and I feel like they both worked better in mono…
  15. Had an hour or so to kill this evening while my wife attended a course, so I popped over to Hadleigh Castle. Was originally hoping for a spectacular sunset, but that didn't work out. The sky was cool for longer exposures though; this was about 50 seconds with a 10-stop ND filter. I took a colour version too. This is using Fuji's Classic Chrome film simulation; I usually like Velvia but on this occasion it was popping just a little bit too much...
  16. Really like them, and they have a great feel too, if you know what I mean. I agree with Colin & Ryewolf though, they are just a tad on the dark side (apart from the first one).
  17. Love them! The first two especially
  18. Wow, thank you very much! I've got to be honest, there were no deep and meaningful reasons for the composition; it just looked right
