  1. Me too, very atmospheric
  2. So picturesque… a calming place to stop for a refreshing break on a long journey…
  3. Stunning! I had a moody sky in front of my house when the sun set last night... I've entered this into a competition on another site; the theme for this month is "Silhouettes".
  4. In hindsight, the first shot is the only one I should have posted. The other two were for a guitar forum actually, so they were more "look at my new guitar" than "look at this photo I took" Thanks!
  5. I think it might be Pleiades, but I'm not sure.
  6. Feels like properly clear nights have been somewhat rare around here recently. There was one the other night, so I got a couple of shots. Both with my X-T4; the wide one was a 13 second exposure with the Viltrox 13mm F/1.4 (ISO 320), and the shot of Orion was handheld with the Fuji 35mm F/1.4, 1/4 second at ISO 8000.
  7. Thanks Polly. I haven't got time to watch that right now but I've added it to my watch later list...
  8. No I agree Polly. It's actually my duvet, I used it because it's dark and contrasted with the guitar. Never thought of sheet music, that's a great idea! I've used the grass in the garden before too, but that's a bit wet at the moment
  9. I sold this to my friend a couple of years ago, and it was one of those ones where I regretted it almost immediately. Thankfully, he decided to sell it and gave me first refusal, so I snapped his hand off! Won't be letting it go again Thought I'd treat it to some glamour shots All shot with my Fujifilm X-T4 & Viltrox 13mm F/1.4.
  10. Same here! I’m like it with guitars too, although again at the moment I feel like I’m in a place where I have everything I need… we’ll see how long that lasts!
  11. Thanks Fogey! I sold my X-T30 and X-T1 to MPB, and bought a second-hand X-T4 from Park Cameras. Lens-wise I sold the 7Artisans 35mm F0.95 to MPB, and bought the Fuji 35mm F1.4, again used, from LCE. I think (although I'm making no promises!) that I'm sorted now, and the GAS may have departed for a while...
  12. Trading in cameras & lenses over Xmas, so I took a few test shots at various times. There's no theme to these, but I like them all so I thought I'd share
  13. Met a friend for coffee just before NYE, and while we were out we had a wander round the city centre. I'd just got the Fuji XF 35mm F1.4, so I was keen to try it out. Lovely lens! (and yes, it still feels weird referring to Southend as a city!)
  14. I think I'd be sticking with the longest lens I had, too! Great capture though
  15. I've only just seen this thread... which is kind of ironic (I think!), based on the fact it's all about increasing traffic on the forum, and the last post on it was nearly a year ago. I really like this forum, but I'm definitely guilty of not posting as much as I should. I'll try & be more active in future. It feels to me like we need a few more members, it seems like there are only a handful of people who post & comment regularly. I'd definitely be up for an away day somewhere, it would be great to meet a few of you! I really like @Fogey's idea about putting someone in the hot seat for a grilling each month, too. I'm happy to go in the hot seat if anyone fancies asking me questions!
  16. Only just seen this thread. Much love to you Dee, from an internet stranger.
  17. Happy new year Fuji, and all the best to you and your wife. Horrible disease, much love to you both
  18. Another no here... when I bought Affinity though, I did some research, and Luminar was consistently in the lists I saw of "The best image editing software top 10" etc. Looking at the website, it looks very powerful. Have you looked for reviews on YouTube?
  19. Pair of Hahnel HL-F126S batteries and JJC dual charger. These are equivalent to Fuji NP-W126. Less than a year old and in excellent condition; I'm a bit of a nerd about rotating my batteries and charging them properly £40 for the pair and the charger. SOLD Fuji MHG-XT10 grip, excellent condition. This will fit the X-T10, 20, 30 & 30mk2.Looking for £10. NOW SOLD Unbranded grip/L-bracket for Fuji X-T1. The L-bracket part comes off if you just want to use it as a grip. Allen keys included. £10 for this one too. NOW SOLD Helios 44-M lens. Excellent condition, works perfectly. I've managed to end up with 2, so I'm selling this one. Front & rear caps included. Looking for £20. This is now SOLD. 3 Legged Thing Ellie Short Arca Swiss universal L-bracket. Excellent condition, hardly used. Doesn't fit my X-T4. I don't have the box or the allen key for it, just the bracket. £30. SOLD 3 Legged Thing Airhed Vu ball head (blue). More or less brand new; never left the house. £100. WITHDRAWN Collection from me in Rochford, Essex; alternatively I'm happy to post for £5 extra: I'll combine items and reduce postage if you wish
  20. I tried to get a picture of that frontage with someone walking past, but in hindsight I think it needed a faster shutter speed...
  21. Thanks Polly! I am back, came home on the 30th of November. I loved that art deco frontage too: I posted it in an art deco group on facebook and someone commented who lives in the building
  22. I was working in Chicago at the start of the month. Had some time to go for a wander with my camera; fantastic place!
  23. Thanks Polly! I couldn't get over the size of the hangars. I sent a phone pic to my mum and she sent back "How far up the Hangar 1 sign do you come, so I can get an idea of scale?". When I told her I didn't even reach the sign she was amazed! :)
  24. Took a bit of a road trip last week, to see Vulcan XM603 at the Avro Heritage Museum in Woodford, with some reenactors (arranged by Timeline Events), and then on the way back I stopped in Cardington to see the airship hangars. They're absolutely enormous! Apparently they're the biggest rooms in Europe. The plane shots were with my X-T1, and the Fuji 16-80 lens (it was nice to have a weatherproof setup, it was a very rainy night!), and the hangars are with my X-T30 and the Viltrox 13mm F/1.4.
