My wife's 60th birthday today (15th) - we celebrated with a trip to Covent Garden to see "The Lion King" at the Lyceum, followed by a rather splendid meal at the nearby Sarastro restaurant. I used to just buy the card and cut my own mounts with a Stanley knife and a steel ruler... until one day a judge said it looked like I'd cut it out with a knife & fork! Nowadays I buy pre-cut mounts from Hobbycraft. I don't order on-line though as they have a big shop in a nearby town.

First home game of the season yesterday - a 1-1 draw between Luton & Sunderland. A good game and a fair result. I never take a camera to football though! Today... I was planning to go out & take some photos, but it's dull & wet, so I stayed in & took some photos instead!

I wonder what the circumstances leading up to that were. It says "taking pictures of the pride from a 4x4 in the Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana in July when the equipment fell to the ground" but the camera is clearly several feet away from the vehicle.
