  1. OK, time to 'fess up. I actually posted this some months ago but it fits the theme so here it comes again, I took this picture at daybreak from Hewenden Viaduct in west Yorks. The rising sun was behind me, throwing the shadow of the viaduct on the hillside ,
  2. Tried to sort out the poll but I think it can only be done by the member who initiated it. Over to you, sorry.
  3. I actually preferred Herculaneum to Pompeii. It's a lot smaller but much better preserved. Great shots, brought back some good memories.
  4. Couple of shots of the Pompeii ruins with Vesuvius brooding in the background. The first, the forum, is rather tourist heavy but still worth a look.
  5. Furtive photograph of a gardener, busy cutting his hedge
  6. I've really enjoyed this one - and it has forced me to learn how to create negatives in Lightroom, This is my offering, it is the cloisters of a monastery in France.
  7. Don't care if it is cheating - it looks terrific!
  8. I remember it but was never that keen on either version, pretty miserable stuff. At least the PMJ is fun!
  9. Hello Bearair, Looking forward to seeing some spectacular Cornish land (and sea) scapes.
  10. Have you heard "No Rest for the Wicked"?. Scroll up if interested. I put it on a few days ago.
  11. Post Modern Jukebox - I am something of an addict.
  12. Sorry, I tend to assume that everyone is in their dotage (like me). Neil Young was (is?) a singer songwriter from back in the stone age.
  13. There is an old Neil Young song called "Everybody Knows this is Nowhere". Sums up your photo.
  14. Interesting enough to make me want to hear some of their other stuff. I'll play the other one later.
  15. I like it when cover versions of songs are so different from the originals
  16. Camel dining in fine style in the Arabian desert in Oman
  17. Thanks BP & Roicead - really helpful.
