  1. Creative idea well executed, Simon. It’s much better than some of coffee inspired art I’ve seen in coffee shops.

    Amazing photo. Love owls.
  3. Not one Australian bird starts with A and it rained all weekend so it was indoors photo. A for Antique.
  4. I think that’s a great idea, SJR, especially the 6 mth challenge. Will miss the challenge otherwise.
  5. If there was another 52 week project, it would run by calendar year?
  6. Confession: I’m a 52 week challenge dropout. Missed the last couple of weeks due to too many competing priorities. And only 3 weeks to go! I’m going to try to finish the challenge despite my lapse (phew).
  7. Our favourite fish and chip place in Echuca.
  8. After the long awaited rain, sewing seed. I pushed the IS0 up to 9000 to get this shot. My new Nikon 850 is reputed to have the ability to shoot at very high ISOs and this one is shot at 9000. I haven't had a chance to look at it on a large monitor but it looked a bit noisy on the laptop so I used a TOPAZ Denoise pre-set. Any feedback appreciated.
  9. Thanks John. I wondered how you achieved the overall light quality as the shadows have detail and the highlights are well exposed too. Wondered if you bracketed or used HDR or did some burning/dodging.
  10. Beautiful photo amongst many. Well done, John. May I ask if what, if any, post processing you used? A great topic, Dierdre.
  11. Thank you Fuji. I appreciate your advice. I had a look at Ffordes & it looks like a great company for folks in the UK.
  12. Thank you BP. What do you mean by the “OE kit”?
  13. Thank you VW. Good advice. I watched a video recently comparing the Nikon 24-70mm lens with the same length Sigma Art Series lens. What biggest difference, other than price, of course, was the VR performance with the Nikon out-performing the Sigma significantly.

I’m playing catch-up. Excellent panning technique, John, something I haven’t tried since my student days. Inspiring.
  15. Lovely. A quintessential English scene. Not that I’ve ever seen one.....
  16. Congratulations, Dierdre. Not your usual type of image, as you say, but well spotted and captured.
