  1. Congratulations Korky, 'tis a beautiful and worthy photo
  2. Back at you Tina, I hope it's been a good'un for you
  3. Red Arrows, Biggin Hill 75th Aniversary of the Battle of Britain.....
  4. I 'extremely disliked' school assembly at secondary-school too, mainly because any kid who was considered good enough was press-ganged into the school-opera.... It was a different opera each year but always Gilbert-&-Sullivan (), I was a pirate in the Pirates of Penzance for the 1st year, then I 'lost' my voice from there on. Primary school was a bit more enjoyable, we didn't have morning assemblies, but we did have singing-classes, mostly hymns as it was a convent-school (Catholic) but the nuns also taught us folk-songs too if we behaved. I've always enjoyed singing though, but I found it really difficult to sing and play guitar (or keyboards) simultaneously. Unfortunately COPD has now stopped me, I just haven't got the wind for it any more.
  5. Beautiful, just beautiful
  6. If you get better access to areas from working with these folks, then I'd seriously consider the idea. You'd also need to consider things like copyright on the pics (are they yours or theirs), but it will be excellent practice for taking your skills to the next level, especially with a better camera. It could also be a good 'jump-off' point for getting your photos to a wider audience. I do hope they use a grammar and spell-checker though, when doing the write-ups for publication
  7. I'd say you got a good bargain with that lens BP, a great shot

    Congratulations Brian
  9. Yep, if they can't live within 'Society', then they need to be removed from society's presence, in such a way that they can never cause harm to society again.
  10. @CoIinb - I suspect you could make a few bob selling them to the aircrew, evem more if used for publicity

    POTW - 8/11/15

Everything about 'Autumnal mists' in 1 piccie.... A superb photo Terry, I'm officially envious now
  12. From one newbie to the next, welcome AnnieMarie you've found a great place to pick up ideas....
  13. Decay=life=decay.... I noticed this baby mushroom this morning, whilst checking over my balcony's planters and boxes.....
  14. An old scan of an early 90's photo, taken on my Practika BX20 - It was my 1st serious 'expedition' with the new camera (I'd just upgraded from the Practika BMS) at 'The Hawk Conservancy' just outside Andover. I got through 6 rolls (36) colour and 6 rolls (36) B+W....... Another 6" left and I can get 'im, right up his nose.....
  15. There's a far easier way to make wind, just fit exhaust-pipes to the houses parliament.....
  16. Taken last year whilst exploring 'The Docklands', a (slightly fuzzy) new meaning of 'Living on the edge'....
  17. About 3~4 years ago I was sat at traffic-lights at Crystal Palace after visiting 'Dulwich Upper Wood', where I used to work. My camera was on the passenger-seat and the sun-roof was open..... I can resist anything except temptation....
  18. That's a beautiful portrait of a beautiful bird Kobione, far nicer than the manky-looking feral winged vermin here
  19. WOW! That does look a bit wet, perhaps a good market for reinforced umbrollies there....
  20. Mrs WereBo often steals my pics for her paper/card-crafts..... It makes a good argument-killer though, when she's questioning how much time/money spent on taking them, I just inform her she'll lose her supplies of images otherwise
