    New

And a warm welcome from me as well. Me and my sisters are heading down to Wales in mid Sept, we're stopping at a Haven Caravan Park near Pwhelli
  2. There were lots of great images posted for my turn at POTW and it made it difficult to choose a winner. But this close of a wasp by Paul was a stand out image. Original thread here »
  3. I said farewell to Cali tonight for the last time, so long my little fluffy friend.
  4. Thanks everyone for your thoughts, it's been a tough few days, knowing that I can't do anything for her
  5. Thanks Jeff, I'm thinking of getting a large size canvas print of this (120x80cm) image.
  6. I had some bad news today regarding Cali she'd been off her food for a few days but I managed to get an appointment with the vet, anyway they took some blood and gave her a tablet to boost her appetite. The vet said it would take about an hour or so to get the results back and that they would phone me at home. So they rang at around 2:30pm and gave me the bad news, Cali has a very advanced stage of kidney failure and that there was nothing else that they could do for her. On Monday I have to take her back to the vets so that they can put her to sleep. The photo above was taken in March 2016
  7. Excellent mono shot Martyn.
  8. Cool video Paul, never heard of this place before.
  9. Great shot Mick, I get a lot of these near my house drain, but I've never photographed them
  10. Nor me either... On the otherhand I've got as close to wasps as Paul did and had them land on my hands so I could take them to the window and let them fly free. Never been stung by a wasp (I'm 61), when I worked at a school in Blackburn I was known as the wasp whisperer because I could get them to land on me and then take them to the window so they would be outside.
  11. Great shots Paul, I need to break out my macro gear, I haven't done any for quite some time.
  12. Excellent image and a worthy winner
  13. Great video Paul, you can see the spire from Pendle Hill.
  14. Thanks Mick, no neither did I until I saw both a female and male blackbird catching fish on the weir.
  15. I like the one on the flower
