  1. Ughhh ... one just cannot feel sympathy when a fly meets a sticky end .... ... well I can't ! Well caught though Mike ....erm ...no pun intended !
  2. Incoming ......! Yes ...Well timed Homer ... great sense of movement .
  3. Occasionally I just gaze in wonder at the moon knowing that it's the same brilliant orb that lit up the landscape when Dinosaurs roamed the Earth over 65 million years ago .... !! Makes a lot of things seem rather insignificant doesn't it .....?
  4. Thanks Fogey ... what struck me at the time was there was barely any reflection on the water at all from the sunset ... granted the sun had actually dipped below the horizon and it was getting dark but there was just a hint of pink in the shallows where you can walk when the tide is out ..... Very odd !
  5. I took so many photographs of the sunsets on my last trip to Wales I think I could post one every week .... erm ... but I promise not to .. Worms head at Rhossili
  6. She certainly looks as fit as a fiddle Homer ... she looks like she could score goals for England and score a decent header with that action !
  7. Welcome to The Independent Photography Forum. Please feel free to browse around and get to know the others. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

  8. Hope you are feeling better Homer .... health issues are the pits aren't they ...
  9. Showing the "before " image might enable us to see how AI can be beneficial especially when honestly acknowledged ... That is a memorable piece of architecture Strav and deserves to be seen unencumbered .... very nice indeed !
  10. I have to admit I am surprised there aren’t more comments on these fabulous images …
  11. It was always going to be a winner … I loved this set Martin …. Great choice Hatter…
  12. I’d obviously be no good at an identity parade!!!
  13. Now that IS “up close and personal “
  14. Nicely observed but you wouldn’t catch me in one … ever !
  15. Such an evocative image Martyn … affectionately known as Tommy or Eleven O One it really captures the feeling that must have been prevalent one minute after the Armistice came into effect . It is an imposing and memorable image …
  16. I did recognise the bin … seems to be your go to place for night bugs !!
  17. I know you do … that’s a first for me though … two excellent images . Amazing to see her spinning silk in such detail in the first and looking so pristine and almost polished in the latter pic … reminds me of that shiny tortoiseshell material.
  18. That’s an engaging portrait Fogey… is the background your own processing … tis effective …
  19. How on earth did you see that originally…. An amazing first for you Paul …
  20. Can’t believe I am saying this but …. What a beautiful looking spider !!
  21. Congrats on getting your first POTW with this image Homer ... in case you've missed it, here is the link to the POTW Winner Forum :- https://www.tipf.co.uk/forums/topic/58672-potw-week-ending-20th-august-2023/
  22. It's the hint of sunlight on the edge of the mountain in the top middle of the image that just helps the balance for me ... and the fence line leading in. I imagine a large canvas would show this off very nicely ..
  23. Lots of images to choose from this week which can make it almost as difficult as when there are only a few images to choose from. A special mention to Monkey and both his set of super aircraft images from Mildenhall and his breathtaking wintry scene in the Calm before the storm but this week's winner is Homer's candid and comical shot of his two dogs ( My dogs) getting possessive over a ball ... a super capture ! I can hear that snarl from here !! Congratulations Homer on your first POTW ... See the original post using the link below :-https://www.tipf.co.uk/forums/topic/58616-my-dogs/
  24. Love that ... No sign of Rodney and Del Boy then ...
  25. Super shot Homer ....what a vista. In my experience Wales always has something special to offer to photographers .
