The Milkman's Been...

Recommended Posts

As I walked past this farm entrance, my eye was caught by the three bottles of milk. So I took a couple of photographs.

I like the resulting image, but in a somewhat reserved kind of way. I've spent a lot of time gawping at it to see if it grows on me, but this one's a real creeper.

Thanks, all - I'm looking at it differently already.

Judy - Yes, I just happened to have 3 pints of milk in my rucksack. Doesn't everyone?

Rick - Less is more. Check out 'Zen and the Art of Farm Gate Photography' for a full explanation

That milk seems to be creating a lot of interest, so I'll come clean.....

The milk I took with me in case I found a farm gate. Yes, I had the cream off the top of the milk - Weetabix is rubbish without it.

The farm sign I did in chalk just before I took the photograph.

The gate is a build-it-yourself jobbie from Ikea. I had it on the car roof rack just in case I came across a farm track. And...

The sky is there courtesy of Adobe.

So now, you're going to ask 'what the bleedin' hell is a throstle?' Gurgle it.
