Hmmm I,m not so sure, looking at the pics they look genuine but its probably the guys flowerly poetic description that makes me wonder..?

 

I am probably completely wrong and it did happen.

Oh I think it did - they interviewed the chap on the BBC TV News. However, they persisted in referring to him as an "amateur photographer" but you should have seen the ruddy great big pro-level zoom lens he used :lol:

It was on again on the late night news.

I didn't think it was a genuine shot at first, but when I saw the other shots that clinched it.

I think we all envy him for getting the shot, but it down to good luck that he was in the right place at the right time with his camera.

I 'm not sure whether  it was the woodpecker or the weasel  that looked the most surprised !!.. My first thought was that it been manipulated  too NannyFerret.. ... But ...apparently it wasn't ..... I imagine  Weasel will pack a parachute next time he's out hunting !
