I gave this shot the title....CURIOUS.......because it is...

 

Curious, because the Pigeon allowed me to get so very close (30mm lens)...

 

Curious because I've seen it walking around outside the same shop for weeks now...

 

Curious, because it is giving me a Curious look.....

Yes, I know pigeons aren't a favourite bird, but they are part of the Grand Plan....we have intruded on what would be their natural environments:

I wonder if like a stray cat, the pigeon has adopted a home where it has previously been offered food, and learnt that going back means it always gets fed again.

I rather think that we haven't intruded on their natural environment, but like rats they have adapted and bred to survive in our urban sprawl.

I like pigeons and I'm always horrified to see those in Nottingham with missing toes and feet, hobbling around on stumps  :-(
