You see, I wouldnt even think of taking a shot like that, I just dont have the eye for a photo when it comes to the most simple things making a great image....sigh*

Hi, Denis,

I can understand exactly what you mean, it is the subject I discussed in a recent thread.

Many photographers, just cant, wont, don't, or forget to look what is in the corners, at their feet, or obove their eyes........just train yourself to look.....it is all there to discover.......honestly!

The original shot, is very mundane, but I cropped all the unwanted stuff out.......strictly using ....the Rule of Thirds......I then processed in my usual way to emphasise colour, tone and texture, giving a final touch of targeted High Pass a Sharpening.

I forgot to say that it was taken through the long end of my LUMIX 14-45 lens on the GX7.

Thank you folks...

I also forgot to mention that, the rather poignant plea from Dennis, might have come from me shortly after I took up photography well over then years should now ....... I look back at my old photographs and shudder.

But......the more we practice, the more we look....and....SEE!

The better our observational and photographic skills will become.

I must admit too, that my shooting in RAW, then processing using lessons well taught have helped enormously.
