Riding The Trams

A day out at Beamish is a great excuse for a picnic and a few rides on the various trams.

Mrs K and myself were at Beamish last Thursday - what a great, nostalgic day out. As I was born and bred and buttered in a mining town, I particularly enjoyed the pit village. But the shopping street and the school were a bit good an' all.

Did you visit the sweet shop?

Yes, we visited the sweet shop - and just about everything else. We were gobsmacked at the sheer size of the place and the wonderful effort that's gone into creating such a fantastic museum.

One great thing about Beamish is the ticket lasts a year so if (like us) you're local it works out to be great value.
