A couple from my escape from modern life last night! Some days you just have to say stuff it and spend some time alone.  My escape is generally the beach, always helps me to recompose myself :-)

The old Pier at Steetley Magnesite, Hartlepool. Fishermen kept driving their cars on it, then a couple of blokes got so drunk they fell in, so the council knocked a blummen great hole in it!

Two excellent shots, but number 1 wins it for me.

The gap in what I assume to be an old, dilapidated pier gives the image a real air of mystery. Or is it me whose a bit weird?

Nice work!

It was a loading pier from Steetley Magnesite, which was abandoned years ago, they finally demolished the site - which was a photography dream - but left the pier
