At last I have my new knee.

I went in on Monday night and got it done first thing Tuesday morning. I came home late afternoon yesterday. All well and I am getting account the house quite well on crutches.

Thank you all.

Annie must have forgotten the date and I was called in the night before my new date.

We had just been to the other side of Coventry to take the ferrets back to the rescue to be looked after, then had a MacDonalds and home to wash and dry the ferret bedding and got a phone call to Go in that evening as there was less chance of it getting cancelled again if I was already in the bed.

I was first in theatre on Tuesday morning.

I have to inject myself every day to prevent blood clots, which is pretty easy and not a bit painful.

I didn't want to tempt fate by telling everyone too early.

I have posted a couple of times while in there as I took my 7" tablet and got a good sign.

Had good company with the other three patients and we passed a lot of time putting the world to rights.

The nurses were a laugh too and made it a pleasant stay.

Dee, one of the nurses was Australian and had been here for about 30 years, but still had a lovely accent.

I was telling her about the lovely pics that you shared.

I did another slow mile on the excersise bike this morning, followed by leg bracing/stretching and bending. It's painful afterwards but if want to get out and about properly as soon as I can, I have to do them.
