The old mill race.

Managed a short lunchtime walk yesterday, along a river bank. There is a flour mill down the track and this is the start of the mill race (no longer used):

Just upstream there is a weir and it's from there the water is split into two streams:

I really like the fourth image, looks very calm and inviting .....until you wonder what nasty 'orrids are probably lurking in the undergrowth!

 An informative set Dee and I too was beginning to think we would end up seeing some strange creature swimming around in the water  :hope:
