Aha ... I suspect  you are experimenting  with your new lens Cheryl.. There is a lot that I really like about  this ... the soft focus and the  pale vignette  suit the subject    ... I  think  I  would quite like to see  another  version  too with  less desaturation of what I presume is  the  powder  blue  colour that is such an inherent  component   of this striking    flower ,  however it did cross my mind that this might be the " black magic ' variety which is  much darker navy/ purple colour. Anyway, regardless of that,  the image has lots of elements  that I find aesthetically  my cuppa tea   and it's great to see you experimenting  and trying out new ways  to exhibit things that you can capture through a lens ....  I hope you show us more of your  results  and tell us the processes  you adopt to get the end product  ... :150_raising_hand:👍  Lovely stuff !

Thank you for your comments, clicker. Always appreciated.  I didn’t use the Venus macro lens for this one as it hadn’t arrived yet. I think they send parcels on the scenic route as they seem to take forever to arrive. I used my Nikon micro 60 mm lens & trying using various filters. I’m not attached to this one and think I agree with your thoughts on the desaturated look.  I’ll post a couple of others in the series.
