I like that very much, Fooj, the colour tint works so well.

I'd prefer to see the background a good, solid black, but other than that it's great and I really wish I'd found it in a charity shop.

Hi, Chris,

If you look very closely at the first version, you will just see a hint of what is behind the mask.......the BG in the second has been totally blacked out via the exposure sliders.

So you.....Pays yer money......and takes your choice......Me?........I still can't decide.

I had to look VERY closely! There's a vague hint of 'smokiness' leaking out from the mask at one or two points, most notably 10-11 o'clock. I like that, so prefer the original.

I can see ghost images in the background. Are they faces, Fugj?

I like both by the way, in fact I love both.

Its a funny old world.........I recently posted the dark BG version on the specialist mono version, and it has been suggested that I lighten the BG because the black detracts from the mask.

Sooo.......to please everyone, here is the lightest version.........The thing in the BG left is one of my hand made Victoria Doll replicas....on the other side there are OOF dds and sods:

Now, newcomers to this post have three versions to choose from................Brilliant!.......Ive enjoyed the challenge, and the ....different....processing method:

no 1 for me Fooj

the original gives just a hint as to something else going on which doesnt distract from the actual focal point of the mask, but leaves you curious.

no 2 gives the impression that the mask is just floating in the middle of blackness... fine if thats what you like but i prefer the first one

no 3 i find the background way to distracting in this one and i think it takes my focus away from the mask
