It would also be a candidate for a good HDR had you got extra images at different exposures.

 

 

Hmm - can I respectfully disagree with that? I can see detail in shadows and there aren't many highlights but even so there's good detail all through.

Of course you can disagree. Viewing is subjective to each and every person.

 

I was looking at the brighter patches of the pathway and the two  nearest tree trunks at the top.

 

I also know that HDR is loathed and loved like Marmite is...  :)

Not sure about HDR Paul, it was a rushed shot, by the time I had change the settings on the camera I think the moment would have passed.

I think HDR is fine for some shots - I just thought this particular shot has such an even subdued light with detail throughout, that I'm struggling to see how HDR would improve it?
