THE YORKSHIRE MOORS

You might remember that I mentioned recently, being commissioned to paint a copy of a photograph of a particular part of the Yorkshire Moors as a mural for a special room at a ridings stables for the disabled.

One or two of you requested a photograph.....well, here it is......not quite finished, but getting there, I have the foreground to develop further.

It is much bigger than I expected at 12ft by 18ft, so a bit of a slog for me, my son has held the steps and assisted with bits and bobs and to make sure his old dad is ok.

The mural is being painted with artist quality acrylic colours.

The kids are having lessons on that, quite noisy, full size horse riding simulator as I paint Nanny.......I have been warned than an HRH may, just may ( has been invited) to officially open the room, my presence will be required.......No pressure then ;-)

I will keep you informed.

My nine year old granddaughter has a chronic muscular problem, swimming and riding are a great help to her, it is wonderful to witness whole groups of both adults and kids with disabilities getting so much pleasure and therapy there.
