A few weeks ago our Chris Lumix was puzzled by the unbelievable colours of the waves surrounding a single moorhen swimming on our local pool.............in response I posted a wider view showing that the surrounding trees in autumn colours plus the brick wall of our local swimming pool combine in certain afternoon light to create the most amazing random and ever changing patterns.

 

This then, is a full size abstract taken through my TAMRON 70/300 pointed into the waves when they are at their very best, the oily sheen on the water is the result of hundreds of ducks, a few Geese plus a couple of swans preening themselves with the natural oils that keep them from sinking:
