wine in a glass

I have been asked to come up with a couple of shots for a mate at work. he has two black frames and wants some photos of something red on black. they are to go on the kitchen wall so have to be in relation to the kitchen theme.

After a thought or two and a little chat with him (& him with his wife) they decided they would like pictures of glasses of wine (red of course).

so there was the task, produce images of red wine in a glass so they could choose a couple.

So i set to work, after a few hundred shots and couple of hours later i came up with around 40 images that i think they will like enough to choose two from (time will tell on that one)

The hardest part of doing this type of thing for someone is that their ideas and tastes differ from my thinking. unless they have an image to show you and to try and copy, then it is quite hard to come up with something that you think they will like.

Here are a few of the results, some of what they asked for and some i like hoping they like them.

They are all great, but I prefer the ones with the black background.

With the First image ( Which is amazing ) I would crop out the right, it does nothing to help the image...

Then I will mention no 4, again amazing...

No 2 & 3 would get great remarks too, but when you post them with No 1 & 4 then they dont hit the same marks..
