Here is a bit of trivia

There is a connection between Fly agriac (the red caps at the top) Vikings and beserk

Improbable as it may seem

The word beserk is from the vikings beserks, warriors so called as they went into battle in a trance like state, they wore no chain mail only bear skins (the old norse ber = bear, shirt or skirt = serk ) and reputably were as mad as loons can be, Screaming, yelling banging and biting there shields, fearing no one

Where does fly agrac come in

Well if its boiled in lots of water for a good time it is edible BUT if its left to dry the conversion of ibotenic acid into the more potent muscimol takes place

This is a relaxant type of drug but can cause allsorts of effects

The Vikings would have known how to mix this and other treats of the forrest to create the angry win at all costs state of mind when going into battle

Pritty little toad stool isnt it
