Both taken with +2/3 exposure bias to counter the effect of the clouds fooling the camera metering and underexposing the aircraft.

the purists will say you needed more prop blur

 

They probably would, but to pan on a fast moving aircraft at 200mm focal length, with a slow enough shutter speed to get some prop blur, while keeping the aircraft in sharp focus, is not an easy task.

 

It requires a VERY steady hand, good image stabilisation performance, and practice. The latter being something that I would need to acquire.

 

Nice action 'shots' of an iconic aircraft :thumbup:
