PETER THE GREAT....MONO VERSION

Well here he is...

Peter The Great.......in Mono as requested by Korky.....................it took me an age to brush and mix layer after layer of tones using Contrast Grading techniques to achieve the strong tonal mix....then very selective sharpening at different strengths to tease out the textures that give the portrait...Bite!

As stated previously.....Peter is a great favourite of townsfolk as he makes his way around the shopping areas with the aid of his brightly decorated Zimmer Frame.

Regardless of his great age, he is a Whiz on the computer on which he publishes a huge community News and Information Web Site crammed with up-to-the-minute snippets for all age groups.............a character and a half:

The mono version is the winner, Fooj.

What really makes the shot for me is the fact that he's not looking directly at the camera. It gives the portrait a much more natural look.

Peter received the email JPEG versions this morning.....he is delighted with both.....he likes the colour version best and says the mono one reminds him of Fagin.........no doubt both will be on his site soon.

I actually like both versions, but this one just pips the colour one. I can see his link to Fagin, and I can see Dumbledore, too!
