Another attempt to improve my now VERY rusty PhotoShop skills.

 

The original was taken beside a country road in Cyprus last year - it's had textures and brushwork and other stuff applied in CS4 with final tweaks in Snapseed.

Certainly no longer a photograph, but the photograph provided the base for something I could well see as a background or advertising poster and very large.

It's a great composition - is it possible to see the original shot before 'art effects' applied?

Bill - Thanks for your comment - yes, diversity is one of the great things about photography, it's much bigger than bugs and sunsets. And I don't mean that in a derogatory way, just a factual one - I enjoy a great sunset or a superb bug shot as much as anyone, but using a bit of creative licence is what does it most for me.

well im not normally a big fan of pictures of cars, planes, etc... but this one i like 

it reminds me of something from a steven king film ... im waiting for it to come alive or something ... mildly intimidating  .. if that makes sense ?
