Leyburn 40's weekend suffered a blow with the weather on Saturday night

Torrential rain, which downed and drowned some of the traders and a lot of re enactors went home

But it turned out to be sunny and good

The heavy brigade were not moved by the weather

and if I was up to it I would love to have the engine to work on

But I hope not to make it a shiney one

This is how I imagine they would have looked like on the land Some would have been treated like pets but most would have just been work horses

This is its side view just for you Ian

Not up for crit as the rear wheel is clipped as is the coal box the background is washed out and the spectator needs a serious clone All too much work but you can see the engine in its entirety

Was it actually a runner ? I thought it was a "before" look waiting to be polished ;)   even better if it's a runner. I'm surprised the boiler has a pass to be used going of the rust everywhere

Just look at that rear rubber banding on the wheel it's all over the place,

But I hope not to make it a shiney one

Ya have to admit it could do with a good wire brushing and some Hammerite slapped on it ;)
