Difficult conditions yesterday, it was a lovely day but breezy. Trying to get good focus was hard, these two images were the best out of a couple of dozen that I took.

Thanks everyone... I am still getting to grips with my macro lens and Sigma Ringflash when used together, insects are hard to find so far this year. I'm getting impatient as I need the practice.

What we need is for someone to snap you while you're on your hands and knees in the undergrowth :D

I must admit I do spend quite a bit time in that position... had some funny looks too... I don't care as long as I'm happy that's all that matters. I should really build a cabin in the woods, it would save me time as I'm always in my local woods these days... well when it's decent weather that is.

Hi!

Just been thumbing through my ...Insect Field Guide...attempting then succeeding to ID the moth in my recent post when I chanced upon a pic almost identical to yours...they could be....

.....MICROPTERIX CALTHELLA ......Tiny MOTHS just 4mm in length......unlike other moths they have Jaws with which to eat pollen with instead of a Proboscis for sucking Nectar...fascinating this Macro stuff??

See HERE......
