Puffin Hunting

Recommended Posts

I've heard of a few Puffins being washed up on the local beaches so I thought I'd combine the usual dog walk/camera stroll with a bit of hunting.

No sign of any puffins this morning which is a shame for the photographer in me but good for the animal lover bits.

Still I wasn't going to be stopped from taking a few shots with my newly discovered Pentax 50mm.

Did find a Guillemot though:

I always enjoy your mix of family and fun shots......this time though........a shot to ponder over......it is away sad to discover the corpse of any of our wildlife.

That aside......your dog, as you say, is a real mutt, obviously a well loved pet that must give you and your kids hours of fun.........and from a cat lover, that is praise indeed;-)

We took a risk with Jasper as he was a rescue dog, very nervous at first but you could tell all he wanted was loving.

We got the most amazingly well behaved dog I've had the pleasure to own, he's fantastic with the boys (Dylan was scared of dogs for some unknown reason hence the idea behind getting another one) never chews the house, will chase sticks till the cows come home and loves the water which is handy with us living on the coast. To see Dylan now you wouldn't believe its the same little lad that would run from dogs as soon as he saw them, the two of them lie on the floor together, play together and if given the chance sleep on the same bed together.
